Mr. Blum is a leading award winning IP, complex litigation, general damages, breach of contract, & royalty agreement expert. His 30+ years include 10 Fortune 50 corporate and five as a KPMG Partner. He was the Chief Audit Officer of Beats (now Apple). Author of two books on contract financial language and royalty auditing (Oxford University Press & LexisNexis). His well written grounded reports are cited as best examples and respected by judges.

Blum is an economic damages expert on more than 100 federal and state cases. Cases include complex litigation, intellectual property (patents, copyrights, trademarks, false advertising, royalty auditor competence, fraud, DMCA), wrongful termination, construction defect, internet, marketing, unfair competition, oil & gas pipeline, class action, personal injury, breach of contract. Mr. Blum has deep knowledge of Georgia-Pacific factors for reasonable royalties.  

Expert on a $66 million DMCA judgment, $300 million & $25 million settlements, and the two largest music copyright cases. One-third of cases are IP and damages are almost always accepted over other experts.

Mr. Blum led the royalty audit practice for Big 4 firms Ernst & Young and KPMG where he wrote the global methodologies. As the world's leading authority on royalty auditing, he is unmatched in expertise having represented some of the world's most famous brands and individuals.

Having lead more than 1,500 forensic investigations, Mr. Blum was named the Certified Fraud Examiner of the Year in 2012 by the 80,000 member Association of CFE’s.  He was one of five board members.

Ms. Mohr has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of New Mexico, where her master’s research thesis was on the development of performance measurement in the evaluation of civilian oversight of police.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Pacific Western University.  Ms. Mohr is a private investigator licensed in New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Ms. Mohr has taught courses on law enforcement topics including interviewing techniques, investigative ethics, evidence collection, financial and fraud investigations, and many other topics.  Her ethics courses, investigative courses, and fraud courses are certified by the State of New Mexico for law enforcement credit, and she is a POST Certified law enforcement instructor in California.

After retiring from the San Diego Police Department, Ms. Mohr conducted death penalty mitigation investigations, and other complex felony investigations, including homicide and white-collar cases, for the Whatcom County, Washington, Public Defender’s Office.  Ms. Mohr has over 30 years of sworn and non-sworn investigative experience.  This includes conducting investigations of allegations of police misconduct for the City of Albuquerque Independent Review Office.  She recently chaired the City of Albuquerque’s Police Oversight Board, a civilian board which was created as part of the USDOJ’s Consent Decree with the City of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Police Dept.

Police Practices & Procedures and Investigation

Rich Moscowitz, MSW has 48 years of extensive experience in law enforcement and social work case
management, including 11 years managing juvenile and adult cases for the San Bernardino County
Public Defender’s Office, 15 years with Child Protective Services, 15 years of experience as a Deputy
Sheriff / Sergeant with Orange County Sheriff’s Department. He also has over two years in the private
sector as the Administrator and Director of Social Services for a foster family agency.

He has considerable expertise in delinquency and dependency court matters and family law cases. Mr.
Moscowitz is presently employed by the San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Office to provide
social work intervention to both juvenile and adult clients.  
                                  
Rich obtained his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 1993. Mr.
Moscowitz has done numerous public presentations on topics including: Child Abuse Investigations,
Family Disputes, Domestic Violence and Dealing with Mentally Ill Persons.
